Charge your way.
Only buy what you need.

Public AC, a domestic plug, 32 A home charging or three-phase equipment: the right choice depends on your car and electrical supply. Explore equipment prices only after understanding your actual needs.

No home charger? No problem.

You may still save on driving energy using public AC charging. Buying a wallbox, solar panels or a home battery is not compulsory when choosing an EV.

Compare public AC with petrol and diesel

First understand your supply

What can you actually use?

Standard domestic socketUp to 3.7 kW (16 A, single-phase)

Usually the lowest equipment cost, but the outlet and wiring must be suitable for sustained charging. Do not assume an ordinary socket is safe at 16 A without checking.

32 A single-phaseUp to 7.4 kW (32 A)

Suitable for many homes with a correctly rated dedicated circuit or blue CEE outlet. Your vehicle's onboard charger must support the power.

Three-phaseUp to 11 or 22 kW

Requires suitable three-phase capacity. Many EVs accept only 7.4 or 11 kW AC, even if the charger advertises 22 kW.

Your situation

Estimate how fast you could charge

These settings are only for an indicative charging-time check; they are not a site assessment.

We assume 90% AC charging efficiency. A vehicle's actual charging rate can be lower, and your electrician must verify sustained safe current. Unknown supply is conservatively treated as domestic 16 A for this illustration.

Portable chargerDomestic 16 A

EVC 3.7kW Portable Charger (6–10m)

Domestic Type M plug. Adjustable 6–16A, Type 2 vehicle plug, cable length variants.

R 3 499 – R 4 299Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Maximum 3.7kW is theoretical. The outlet and circuit must be suitable for sustained charging; a qualified electrician should inspect it.

Electrical inspection and a correctly rated, protected outlet may still be needed.

Portable charger32 A single-phase

EVSPB 7.4kW Portable Charger (6m)

32A single-phase Blue CEE supply, adjustable charging current and timer. Type 2 vehicle plug.

R 5 899Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Requires a suitably rated and protected 32A single-phase CEE outlet; not compatible with an ordinary 3-pin socket at 7.4kW.

A qualified electrician must verify or install the dedicated CEE outlet and circuit.

Installed charging station32 A single-phase

EVC 7.4kW AC Wall Charging Station

Installed 32A single-phase station, app/timer control, Type 2 cable; 5m/8m/10m variants.

R 6 899 – R 8 499Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

The vehicle's onboard AC charging limit and site electrical supply still govern actual charging speed.

Professional wallbox, supply circuit, protection and compliance work quoted separately.

Installed charging station32 A single-phase

ZENCAR WMini 7.4kW AC Wall Charging Station

32A single-phase Type 2 wallbox, 5m tethered cable, Wi-Fi/app/RFID scheduling.

R 7 499Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Type 2, up to 7.4kW if both the vehicle and property supply allow 32A single-phase.

Installation, electrical protection and applicable certificate are extra.

Installed charging station32 A single-phase

ZENCAR WBS 7.4kW Socket Charging Station

32A single-phase wallbox with Type 2 socket (not a tethered cable); app/RFID scheduling.

R 7 999Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Customer must have or purchase an appropriate separate Type 2 AC charging cable.

Professional installation and Type 2 cable are not included in this reference price.

Portable charger32 A single-phase

ZENCAR EPro 7.4kW Dual-Plug Portable Charger

Two power plug adapters: 32A Blue CEE (up to 7.4kW) and domestic Type M (up to 3.7kW); Type 2.

R 8 499Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Domestic plug adapter does not provide 7.4kW. Safe sustained current is limited by the outlet/circuit.

Electrician inspection or protected 32A CEE outlet installation may be required.

Portable charger3-phase

ZENCAR EPro 22kW Three-Phase Portable Charger

Red 32A three-phase industrial CEE plug, up to 22kW Type 2 AC, adjustable current.

R 8 890Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

Requires a suitable three-phase supply and an EV with compatible onboard AC charging; many vehicles accept only 7.4 or 11kW.

Proper three-phase outlet, site capacity, protective devices and any upgrade costs excluded.

Installed charging station3-phase

SECON 22kW OCPP AC Installed Station

Installed 32A three-phase Type 2 station, OCPP 1.6 support, 5m cable; business/shared applications.

R 13 390Indicative hardware price · confirm VAT, availability and model variant

OCPP operation requires separately configured back-end; a 22kW site does not make a vehicle charge faster than its onboard limit.

Three-phase installation, network back-end, metering setup, electrical compliance and site commissioning excluded.
